The second is an eraser that blows away all painted texture layers in a square chunk. The first looks like a lock, but pressing it seems to have no effect. Chunks - I see the flat square move along the terrain but don't really know if that's a bit of information I need to keep in mind for anything. Brush size, feather, strength, and layer counts, all ok. Going top to bottom, this is what I have figured out and what I still have questions on:Įdit modes - only "exclusive" available for now so no questions there. So unless you get everyones permission somehow, which isn't likely, thats out-else I'd share mine lol.I have looked but haven't found any good tutorial explaining the texture tile tool. This is the part where I'd usually say, if you manage a full working pack, share it, but I can't because Soartex and BDCraft are pretty strict about mixpack sharing. If you DO run into compatibility issues with textures (bad texture showing, dreaded magenta-black checkerboards) all you need to do is remove the textures for that mod, or if its just one block, usually they aren't too hard to find. If you are confused unpack and look at an already-packed resource pack to get an idea on where things go. Soartex does give extensive information about how to generate the pack, but basically everything from each directory is going to be dropped into the pack's /assets folder -just make sure it looks like this "/assets//textures/(block/item/etc)" Since you could never distribute such a thing (known as a "mix pack") you would have to do this yourself. What I did was combine the versions after cloning them and merged-in the BDCraft patch for the missing parts. Textures that are not used anywhere, as always, won't get used or loaded into the atlas anyway so theres no need to worry if some mod versions are wrong/not compatible because they simply just wont work. Why do this? Because mod resources from older versions work in new mod versions, and some new mod versions are missing textures that are already there in the older versions' folders. If you like Soartex, you will need to grab and combine the source textures from github in Soartex-Modded/version_number, and merge them starting with the lowest Minecraft version working upward.
